lung cancer which came back even after surgery, radio tharapy and 3 cycles of chemo have been completed..the doctors r surprised

I had a lung surgery 8 months back for lung cancer inwhich left lung had to removed. after that i have been treated for chemotharapy and radio tharapy. in recent pet ct scan i have new development in mass lesion which is a local recurance.
the surgery and radio tharapy is not possible. The only treatment is chemotharapy...if anyone have any advice for my case then kindly advice..or...any second line chemo...or anything

I'm sorry I don't have any relevant suggestons for this but I just wanted to say hallo, and to wish you all the best. You must have been so shocked to have been told that it had returned. Hoping that What Now will help, and you will get some answers. It may be a good idea to post this question on the forums as well (there is a Lung section, or the New to Site) as blogs quickly get pushed out of site by new ones, whereas in the forums, any response or second posting by you lifts it back into the list everyone can see. Hi Ompal - and I'm sorry, because like Penny before me, I don't have any relevant information for you. However, have your medical team sat down and discussed all of this with you, fully, because you shouldn't be left in the dark about any aspect of your illness. If they are saying that chemotherapy is the only treatment they can offer you, then I would certainly speak with your doctor about why this is the case. Having and living with this disease is hard enough, without the added burden of not being made fully aware of all the facts.
