Finished chemo....

Less than one minute read time.

Well the day came and went. I finished chemo on monday. Its hard to believe it is over. Radio next in november I hope. I hope to be done and dusted by christmas. Feeling pretty tired and zonked at the moment but I know it'll pass.

I met the plastic surgeon last week to discuss reconstruction and that was a bit of a shocker. Its a pretty big operation. He wants to take my tummy and put in on my chest-the good thing is, it results in a flatter tummy too! I worry I am putting myself through a reconstruction for vanity though and is it the right thing to do? Of course, I should stop thinking so much. As you can see from my rambling, my concentration isn't up to much right now.

Anyhoo, just wanted to update on where I was and to let others know who are starting out, that it does come to an end.....

    Hi Val,

If it makes you feel good then go and do it. But be warned that the Radio will knock you for six after the first week. I had 36 treatments and I still struggle to find energy to do certain things. But the Treatment probably saved my life.

Take care and be safe Big Hugs Love Sarsfield.xx

    Well done Val,

It's amazing isn't it how quickly treatment passes!! (thankfully).  I had 23 sessions of RT and can honestly say compared with chemo was a doddle.  I did feel a little tired because of back and forwards to the hospital in London every day. After each RT I  covered my zapped area every night with aqueous cream and have had no problems.  I finished my RT over a month ago now.

Good luck with the rest of your treatment

    gentle hugs

    Alex xx
