Hello everyone, my journey so far…
I had a lot of pain in my lower abdomen area last year. Investigations started on my bowel because I have already been diagnosed with IBS. In December 24 I had a lot of brown watery discharge (I haven’t had a period since before lockdown so it’s assumed I have been through/going through menopause). This led the way for a scan on my pelvis in January this year, where a mass was found. Biopsy confirmed malignancy. I had a full hysterectomy in April this year and this has been confirmed as Leiomyosarcoma with LVSI. They also removed and biopsied a deposit on my pelvic side wall which was also confirmed as cancer.
I met with the oncologist who told me that my latest CT scan showed ‘suspicious and fluffy’ on the right side where the deposit was found. He said they’re pretty sure it is the cancer recurring and that for it to happen so soon after surgery it has now become incurable. I start on chemo next week.
I am scared and hopeful?
