There is much that is not written.

Less than one minute read time.

I know about chemo head and had some of that but i have a few others and doctors cannot tell me why maybe someone out there can enlighten me.

1. My normal body temp is at a higher temp since treatment. My wife says that sometimes she can feel the heat coming off me.

2. On the instep of both feet i have a patch about the size of a postage stamp. When touched by anything feels like an open wound.

3. From the hips down i suffer from what i can only call prickly heat.

4. I have had large pressure bruises starting as deep purple and fading over 2 months.

5. on my forearms tiny red blotches which itch.

This reads awful but is more annoying than anything else and i still enjoy life 4 years down the line. I would just like to know if any of these are related to the treatment.

Hi paddy, they are all normal side effects of chemo, it all depends on your chemo, and you can get all or none of the effects, my hubby says I'm like a furnace at nights, and I used to have a 13.5 tog duvet, now I'm still hot in a 4.5 one, hands and feet suffer, my feet were so bad with my first regime that I gave all my heels away thinking they would never recover lol, built them up again and didn't make that mistake again.... Lol, I know some people that have had bruising, but not me personally, but, look talk to your onc or nurse if your worried, you should have the phone number in your chemo pack, and they won't mind you calling....

    Good luck

    thanks for all imput.

When i first started chemo i had a lot of pain in the bones of my chest and was prescribed CO-CODAMOL which worked very well.

my doctor found nothing wrong with my foot and prescribed TRAMACET which is paracetamol plus

to lesson the pain from my foot. i have just re read the leafet for this and itching/rash and brusing are listed as side effects so no more of thoes for a week or two. plenty of liquids instead. best wishes to all. paddy
