On Monday, I attended a 'Chemo Education' session at Velindre hospital in Cardiff. It was helpful. We were all given an electronic thermometer and had a go of using it. I love a freebie!! I collected yet another booklet to add to my ever increasing pile of cancer related paperwork. I had a chat with one of the lovely nurses about my needle phobia and the outcome being that I am having a PICC line fitted on Thursday, prior to chemo on Friday. I'm nervous about the procedure, but once done, all my chemo will be given through it and bloods can be taken from it.
