Today is a sad day, after hearing the awful news that a Sydney Cancer Patient, Kristian Anderson (who met his fame after posting the following video on the internet) has died. I wanted to share with you his video, and the story to go with, because, while we Australians may be familiar with his story, I am aware that the majority of the population on Macmillan is from overseas, and may not be so familiar. And I wanted you all to see it:

If you can't access it, I highly recommend you go onto youtube to watch his video - but careful, it's a tear jerker.
The other reason I wanted to post this was becaus I think it's so lovely to thank his wife in the way that he did. Having my own cancer journey, I realise that those around us - family, friends, carers - may not always feel like they're appreciated, loved etc. Kristian has shown his wife, Rachel, in a most touching way, his love and thanks for everything she's done (and a happy birthday wish!). But rest assured carers, I can guarantee every single one of you, are loved, thanked and appreciated just as much as Rachel from her husband.
While we're at it, I wanted to thank everyone on Macmillan for anything and everything they've done.
Rest in Peace, Kristian.
