Up to Chemo Session 6!

1 minute read time.
Just a note to say that Paul has now reached Chemo no. 6 - his last chemo was a bit of a disaster as a few mins afte rbeing attached to it he started to react and he said at one stage he felt like he was about to explode with heat!!! Apparantly he had an allergic reaction to it and this time round at least he has had to go into hospital for two nites so the docs and nurses can keel an eye on him and make sure he is ok - this also means he has had to take steroids before he went into hospital and will also have to take them afterwards for a few days - as long as they keep putting the chemo into him and he keeps improving - I havent mentioned that at Pauls last scans it showed that his lesions on his liver have reduced by 40% in size so we were of course over the moon about that - and also his blood count has improved heaps and heaps = all we want now is the chemo to "behave itself" and we are on the up!! All toes and fingers crossedxxx Paul is in good spirits - has put on 3.5 kgs in weight since August and really beginnining to look well - xxx Back soon with more...

I am so pleased that Paul has responded so well to the chemo - I'm not surprised that you are happy! I know he had a reaction to the chemo - but it seems that they are really looking after him well by keeping him in hospital. How many more is he having - two?? ANyway very best wishes, youve come so far from your first blogs! Love Jools x x
