End of first session of Chemo

1 minute read time.
Hi - just note before I go to bed - Paul had a terrible morning - he took 2 sleeping pills last nite instead of the prescribed one and was "off the planet" this morning - I was quite worried about him as he was groaning and moaning and so after I dropped the kids at friends house for their vacation care I came home again to check on him and he was fast asleep - phew - he was ok - so I went to work. He told me today he felt a lot better and not so nauseus so that is great - he drove himself to Westmead Hospital to get his chemo line taken out - and has been good all night - so fingers crossed he will feel ok tomorrow as well - we are planning a night out on Saturday - well it has been planned for ages - and he is so determined to go - so lets hope he continues not to feel so bad - he is diabetic too and we have to tighten our hold on that - he has been drinking a lot of water today and hence weeing a lot - so now he has a rest from chemo for a week and three days - yet another stage... onwards we march... Good nitexx

Just remember, there will be good days and bad days, so take it one day at a time. Keep up the water intake as it helps to flush the kidneys through, even if the trips to the loo are annoying.

Paul should do on any day what he feels he can. Don't let it rule your lives.

Keep talking to your friends, you need as much support as Paul to get through this.
