Chemo Counselling Session

1 minute read time.
Well we went to the counselling session for chemo yesterday - there was a group of four cancer patients - two with breast cancer, one with in his back and us. The session was very informative and interesting - and the nurse who gave us the talk was a gem - gentle and sweet and very compassionate - we came out of the session feeling enlightened I suppose as to what to expect. Paul is apparantly going to be given a big dose of chemo - he has to go on Tuesday (I am going with him) and will be treated in the day centre for about 5 hours - then will take with him the bag of chemo home with him and then we have to return on Thursday for it to be taken off and then back again the following Tuesday to repeat - I think this will go on for 5 weeks and then they do a scan to see how the chemo is going. He seems a litte better now the stent is in - a bit of a sharp pain in his stomach area but generally better in himself - fingers crossed- at least hope he has a good weekend now until chemo starts - Will come back with more soon - x
