Another stage completed....

2 minute read time.
Hi - at work at the moment - seems to be the only time I get to do my stuff which I should be doing at home - ok - we went to Westmead yesterday morning arriving at 11.00am - Paul had not been feeling well and had pains in his lower tummy so told the doctors that which resulted in blood tests and an x-ray which we had to go get over the road - so we didnt start chemo until 2.45 - settled down with a DVD - portable - they are supplied at the hospital - Paul attempted first but he said there was too much noise so gave up - then I had a go - started to watch "Little Miss Sunshine" and had to sttiffle my giggles - though didnt get through it all - Even though it was a long day and we didnt get out until 6.00pm the time seemed to go quite quickly - Paul slept a little bit on and off - the nurses were absolultely wonderful - such kind compassionate people with a great sense of humour - We found towards the end of the session we were willing the chemo bags to hurry up and empty - like watching grass grow! Got an education about the chemo we were taking home with us - Paul got the chemo "cartridge" put into a little bum bag - very fashionable tartan colour -we said our goodbyes and off we went - he actually allowed me to drive - he is always so insistant I am a bad driver and that he is much better and is ok to drive but I was so worried and I think maybe he sensed that (or wasn't up for an argument!!) Had to pick Jack and Billy up from Carolines hosue - where she had had them since 10.00am - they had a great day - Garrison Point Park - Maccers for dinner - had a coffee and cake and then came home equipped with some dinner Caroline had packed away for us too - a lovely mild chicken curry - Paul didn't feel crash hot last night and got worse as the night progressed - didn't sleep hardly at all - it is so hard to watch him the way he is - he feels so nauseus all the time - weak and tired - Boys at a vacation care place this morning and back to a friends house - going to pick them up straight after work - then Jack has footy training tonight - it is so cold here - I think this morning would have been one of the coldest so far this winter! That's about it - oh - Paul rang me about half an hour ago and told me very casually the machine with his chemo in was beeping which means something is wrong - so i rang the hospital - all ok now - he must have touched something but he and the nurse fixed it amongst themselves over the phone! Bye for nowxx
