Dealing with Cancers - not one but three

Less than one minute read time.
OK so I'm retired and life was good. I enjoyed walking 4 - 10 miles once a week with friends always planning our route round a good pub for lunch. I found a lump in my groin I thought was a hernia so went to see my doc. She was amazing. Not 100% sure she sent me straight to the hospital where I was immediately admitted. A biopsy. A week later I was informed by 'phone from a Dr at hospital that I had cancer in the lymph nodes and these would need to be removed. That was Oct 2005. Since then I have had two further cancers and have just finished 6 sessions of chemo. The last one was the easiest to deal with because in can be treated. Life is good each day whether I am dozing because I am shattered or am enjoying the company of my grandaughter.

Do get in touch if you have or are experiencing similar.  The hardest days are those when I am alone all day and feeling my get up and go has got up and gone.

Welcome Tricia to the 'club' no one wants to be in! Sounds like you have had quite a time with your various cancers! I am a fellow Melanoma 'member', diagnosed last August and just thinking it's all over when told another 'suspect' mole found on other leg.  So, one punch biopsy later and playing the waiting game for the results.  Life is never dull once you start this journey is it?  I certainly know about get up and go has got up and gone lol.  It sounds though that your grandaughter keeps you on your toes.

Thanks for sharing your journey. Take care
