Travel Insurance

Less than one minute read time.

I'm going away for 4nights with my friend to celebrate my 40th and couldnt believe how expensive travel insurance is.

I found a lovely lady called Laura at Insure Choice who found a company called Tokio Marine Insurance who were brilliant and I got insured for a quarter of what everyone else was charging. Call 08452276335

Well pleased, just thought id let everyone know.

How very odd, my employer uses Tokio Marine for our staff travel insurance policy and my cover excludes anything related to melanoma!!

MIAOnline is always a good company and pretty reasonable one in  week Tenerife for my husband who is incurable and myself with blood pressure £87 and no huge excesses.   You also get a years membership to MIA where you can input all your medical information then if your ill whilst abroad you can retrieve all your info for the medical team.  Be careful and read the small print, some companies will insure you but not cover anything that is connected to your medical condition as Marsha as said.

Hope you have a lovely time.

I am still having treatment but would like to go abroad when it is finished. My usual company will cover me but exclude the cancer. I have never been ill at all during my 18 months of treatment and have been to Paris and Marrakesh but would like to go further afield so I am a bit shocked to find MIA only cover Europe.I was going to try them next. Should I just carry on and have the cancer excluded?

Hi I am quite new to this, I had my lumpectomy 2 1/2 weeks ago, and have a week in Spain booked before my 15 sessions of radiotherapy starts and then 10 days in Tunisia booked early September. I am confused why I need to mention the cancer to my insurance company, is there anything connected to my treatment that could required treatment whilst on holday ? Please could someone advise me.

    Thanks
