MY MOM STARTS HER FIRST CHEMO SESSION TOMORROW AND I AM SCARED FOR HER,MY MOM HAS LUNG CANCER AND SHE IS ONLY 55.I DONT KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT,MY MOM IS ACTING VERY BRAVE BUT I KNOW ON THE INSIDE SHE IS READY FOR FALLING APART.I THINK SHE IS TRYING TO HOLD IT TOGETHER FOR THE SAKE OF HER CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN.I LOVE MY MOM VERY MUCH AND I JUST WISH THIS HORRIBLE THING WOULD JUST GO AWAY BUT I KNOW THATS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

Take it step by step and day by day my lovely. When I started my treatment last March my daughter was so worried but I just  did what I had to do and get on with it. It is the unknown love. Talk to your mum, but let her recover from chemo first if it is her first one, ask questions and get answers from the medical team and just keep being there for her.................I wish you all the very best and send a hug...love carol x

  • The first chemo is the worst. Not knowing what to expect.

Hope your Mum has few side effects.

Lots of us have been through it and coped well.

Its not as bad as it seems for most.

    Love
