Very anxious about what treatment I will need although I have been told I will need Tamaxifen for 5 yrs.Its all a matter of wondering & waiting again.
One of the worst parts of this disease is waiting for results...

Dear Tommysblueangel, well done, good to learn your operation went well and your cancer seems to be just in breast.  You will be sore so make sure you take those painkillers, don't try and be brave, just take them every 4 hours and do the extercise you have been given by your nurse.  The next step is in the hands of your medical team so just relax (if poss) and take one day at a time.  Nurture yourself.  You will be okay and, as much as you think life seems to be in slow motion right now, when  you come out the other end, you will realise how the time flies and you WILL find yourself in another place where  you will be heald and able to move on.  Its okay to be scared, confused, angry, weepy, elated even, just take one day at a time.  God bless, Ann x

Hi good to know you got through the op ok. Do hope you have had your results now and been able to discuss the trtment options with the oncologist and family, it seems daunting at first and a lot to take it, but at the same time it helped me to know where I was heading with things.

I had sentinel node biopsy mastectomy and recon in april 2010. Have had ovaries removed and am taking femara for 5 years.

Take it easy one day at a time
