What’s the Difference

Between this

  And This…

Venison Steak, Parsnip Puree Broccoli (excuse the presentation ) and a huge helping of Tiramisu

Answer……….Five Years

Today is five years since I finished treatment and If I can do it so can anybody else. I wasn’t going to talk about much tonight save to say how this day seemed a lifetime away when I was diagnosed but here I am. Cured? In remission? Bloody well alive and thriving anyway. Long term side effects are minimal. I have a dry mouth which doesn’t bother me during the day but can be a problem if I breathe through my mouth and snore…..so I tape my mouth. Hilarious! BUT it works. Sorry about the the grinning wrinkled face

. I have a few contacts on the Head & neck forum who are just starting along this road and one or two are lucky enough to be getting Photobiomodulation (the application of red and near infra-red light over injuries or lesions to improve wound and soft tissue healing, reduce inflammation and give relief for both acute and chronic pain.) while they are getting RT. I’ll let the graphics speak for themselves

There are similar results from Leicester and from The Christie so if you are just starting RT ask about it….It may just make your next few weeks so much easier and recovery better….I just wish it had been around in 2018

Nevertheless….to get back to me…….. Just the one appointment with my oncologist Russell Banner in March to be signed off……..a few weeks to hone my Oscar speech.
