Post 548: Weeeeee’re all going down the pub…
With the only really useful thing I did today being a phone call there was a real feeling of hiding from the storm and resting to get out and about later, I didn’t like it but it had to be. TV
Although I changed to get out of bed this morning into a heavy hoodie I just sat all day in my chair watching the tv flicker from this to that programme. It was not a busy day, so I just ate and waded through another kdrama series (now passing the 260 series watched).
Overhead there was a big storm which we knew was there by the crashing rain on the side of the house or the conservatory roof, which enhanced the noise to alarming levels as we went along. Where did the rain come from? It had been hiding all year and was welcome to rain all it liked and to start filling up the still waters especially the empty reservoirs around the south.
The call was a call of administration for all a table booking for a Sunday roast at a local pub to meet up with and eat with Millibob and family.
I can’t wait.
In fact Millibob is doing a big drive south today so we wish him a safe drive auto him nd thousand blessings for a lovely autumnal holiday.
What more can I say than to hope our dinner is hot and tasty.
In the background while I’m having a pretty lazy weekend is the need for action, fi there is to be any, about the choice for cancer treatment. I know there’s only one realistic choice but it will be a wholesale change on my year of ready since the last chemo was over. The hope is off the bus, the Carboplatin, was stopped early and the sixth session was not available to me because I was too weak.
Even then I had been hopping on and off that chemo to suit my bloods and energy levels. It just didn’t work very well from start to finish; so why would Radium 223 be any different?
So the opportunity to chat to Brian tomorrow might just be what I need to get set for at least a six month battle with my body starting as soon as I can.
And there we have it, it’s as if I’ve already made my mind up, but I haven’t.
What happens with the baby, can I reach out and hold the baby if I’m taking Radium? That’s a question I didn’t ask anyone, and really matters to me. I don’t want to worry my youngest and his fiancé by being a Radium infested grandad that is a horror story and needs to be avoided!
That can’t happen.
I have longed for this little man-cub and I so want to hold its little body when it arrives in five weeks time.
I’m sure you’ll understand. I’m so clear on this. But I don’t want to scare the new parents to be.
So with any luck there’ll be a 5 or 6 week delay before my first Radium if I choose it, which means I can avoid the problem of the Jekle and Hyde gramps that’s full of chemicals that scare the crap out of everyone.
I’ve got some research to do obviously and to resolve a few things before the decision is made. But I’m too tired to think at the moment.
Any thoughts?
Take care, xx
