Post 503: Digestion issues remain.

For the third time in a week a lovely dinner was wasted after a few gurgles.

I don’t want to use the chalk blocker pill but I might have to get some after this week.

The thing is, I feel OK and am not suffering at all. In fact I ate really well today, you would say normally, but I ended up in the same position, quite literally.

A works health check

But moving on, I held a works health check on my own today, without notes.

I mentioned everything in order of magnitude of worry, starting with my dodgy right eye and working through the cancer and finishing on a gripe about holidays.

I enjoyed leaving my two superiors in some kind of happy quietness and clarity.

We’ll leave it for another month for another check-up.

The gas engineer

As another year rolls around, tomorrow sees our trusty gas engineer test our central heating system.

So into the shoe and clock closet my Darling went to uncover the gas unit.

It sits unused for half the year due to our solar panels’ output, but soon we will need some heating from this system.

The solar panels have allowed us to enjoy very small bills during the summer that have paid back the costs in six years.

We’ve had them for eleven years now and the rewards are fantastic.

At the time of putting them in, I didn’t know what to think about the installation company going into liquidation after a year, but I kept my cool and crossed my fingers so that I wouldn’t have to worry about the repairs on the roof or converters in the garage.

So far, so good.

Our house faces south, in the south, so is an ideal location site for solar panels and so it’s proved.

It’s not for every house but it’s been really satisfying for us.

So we hope the gas service tomorrow will be an easy check without any trauma.

Haribos and shaking fingers

The Haribos are still stacked up in the sweetie drawers, ready for me to take my pick after my gut settles.

Also, I’ve noticed that my fingers have settled a bit from shaking, which I think is more to do with me taking no doses of Oramorph for a week.

This makes my texting on this phone a lot easier.

Thanks for putting up with me.

Take care.

Sleep well.
