Post 492: Back pain at night is 8/10.
Hi everyone,
This hospital stay is not much fun without my Darling, who is working until Saturday, when she can pop up at 10am for a hug and a big sloppy kiss.
The nighttime is dreadful.
Every move to get out of bed is not quite excruciating, but it’s a 9/10, and my left hip is really a problem.
On a six-bed bay, the long-term guy, T, has fallen the last two nights. If he falls again tonight, he gets a medal from the patients for surviving another fall, and a hefty slap from all the nurses.
Also, last night the guy to my left, who is a sad case due to some mental health issues, caused an incident of some magnitude when he urinated in the water jug belonging to the guy opposite him.
He must have thought he was thirsty.
So here I am, getting tired of asking for pain relief.
I have succeeded in getting all my morphine except for the Oramorph every four hours.
But I am getting some, so that’s easing all the problems I have around my body.
I touched my coccyx earlier and it lit up like a gas oven.
Wow!!!
So maybe that’s still my greatest pain, closely followed by my left hip.
It’s not much fun.
But it’s not meant to be fun.
Bye for now.
We’ll meet again…
Good morning.
Take care
