Post 125: A short pause.
From across the ocean, sad news has reached us.
My Darling’s brother has passed away — and with that comes a flood of memories from January, when he and his dear wife welcomed us into their home in Hicksville, New York, with such kindness and care.
Right now, my own body is demanding attention.
After yesterday’s trip to A&E and today’s urgent MRI on my spine, things feel too raw and heavy to share in detail.
So, just for a couple of days, I’m stepping back.
Not away from you — just into a quieter space where I can gather myself.
Chemo is in two days, all being well.
I’ll return as soon as I can, and I’ll carry you with me until then.
Take care of yourselves,
I’ll miss you
