I attended Preston hospital yesterday. the appointment was to prepare for radiotherapy treatment to start in near future.
I had a scan and also had a head mask made(moulded over my head and face).
Staff at hospital all seem very good
Also gave my wife a free car park ticket as she will have to take me several times over forthcoming weeks.
Also at hospital some volunteers provide free tea and coffee to patients and their carer or relative which was much appreciated by us
Then my wife drove me to Croston House in Garstang. This is also linked to Vine house in Preston.
This is a charity offering all sorts of advice and support to cancer sufferers and their relatives so we went to find out.
Seems a very good charity and lots of useful help and advice available. For example , I have booked a session next week with a lady skilled in meditation, hypnotherapy, psychotherapy etc. ; nothing I wouldhave gone near before my diagnosis. But maybe something useful to de stress etc. during illness and treatment
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
