Apres Chemo, Radio and now Hormone Therapy

Less than one minute read time.

Hi All !

I am new to this site and quite not sure how to begin !!

Diagnosed with early BC in Autumn 2008. Surgery early December 09 followed by Chemo on 22nd Jan and Radiotherapy- and now hormone therapy (Femera).

Chemo and Radio thankfully had NO adverse effects other than complete hair loss. Hair now growing fast. Why I expect you are thinking is she worrying ?

What I would really like advice on is how and when should I try and get holiday insurance.

All advice appreciated !!!

Hello thisisme and welcome to the new site! We have a few insurers who will insure you during and after treatment for breast cancer (and other cancers) - I recommend Miaonline (just google it) who will give you a quote for insurance including cancer related problems wiht NO exclusions for anywhere in Europe. All they ask is that your Oncologist writes a letter (which you carry with you when travelling) stating that you are fit to travel and that he/she also writes the same thing in your medical notes. They do also now cover for furtheraway places like USA etc but they were unable to cover me when I asked about USA but my situation is different than yours (I am terminal). All yiu need to do is go online and ring the number - they will take a few details and then ring you back in a few hours with a quote. Try them and see what happens - please let us know what you think. They do recommend thaat he whole party take the same insurance and that way if you were ill they too would be taken home with you/allowed to stay to care for you etc were you to be ill. Good luck and I hope you have a lovely holiday I am sure you deserve one after all you trials and tribulations. Love Jools xxx
