    Dear Dscal

I often feel the same as you, that we are only statistics to the doctors and nurses in the hospital.  They don't fully understand what we're going through emotionally - it's just a job to them.  How on earth can they tell without a scan that the chemo's not doing your mum any good?

I'm frightened silly about John's next scan.  He is due to have one more chemo IV and then a scan to see whether it is worth carrying on with the treatment.  I'm hoping and praying that it's working and he can carry on so that he gets a fighting chance of surviving this terrible disease.

My heart goes out to you and your mum.

    Lots of love and *hugs*
