My Dad has diabetes pace maker and on dialysis throughout the night everyday as kidneys only have about 8% function.
His 67 and not in great health but a fighter despite so many bad runs of ill health.
Recently his been unwell and 7 weeks ago was told he had T1 type cancer. We were told last week its not T3 and he neeeds surgery and a bag fitted.
Its been nearly 8 weeks and we still have not commenced treatment as doctors cancelled his operation?.
Today we were told iron injections are needed as his red blood count is 37 and is very low hence him being so tired. Chemo a no go doctors said not strong enough and temporay stoma not option as they think he may be ill with infection.
Also we wre told dad has 75% blockage in his neck which could dislodge plague into his brain and cause stroke under general anasetic??
We are currently under Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham so lucky to be under such great care but whole thing seems to take forever???
Is there anyone else with so many ailments having treatment.I keep reading Bowel cancer has high survival rate if caught quickly but for gods sake DO SOMETHING!!!!!
Would love some advice
Kind Regards Suzanne
