How to deal with things

Less than one minute read time.

My family member has been diagnosed with cancer and I am doing my best to support them, but I am not too sure how I am coping myself.  It is so hard to think that they may not be here this time next year.  I know that they may, but how do you get that thought out of your head.

  • Hi ,

My name is Matthew, and I work as part of the Online Community Team. We're the team who work on supporting our Online Community to make sure it stays safe and working well.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been finding things difficult. I just wanted to let you know that I have sent some support information to you at your registered email address. In case you haven't received it, one resource I suggested was introducing yourself over on our Carers only forum for peer support. It can be really helpful to chat with other people who understand.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us in the Online Community Team. You’re welcome to send us an email at community@macmillan.org.uk whenever you need help.

    Wishing you all the best,
    Matthew
