Today was a really strange day l went to hospital to have my wounds checked as l have a temperature and oozing from my wounds plus a big lump next to my groin wound. So l get there and get asked to get undressed and a different doc comes in saying l have good news for you................. my heart is skipping a beat waiting for him to elaborate but he didnt for a while. He examined my wounds and said l have a cyst from the lymph node removal and then looks at the rest of the wounds saying that yes it is mucky l have an infection and there is some wound breakdown.He tells me to get dressed and l do then he proceeds to tell me that l need a course of strong antibiotics as l have an infection which is not uncommon....................and then proceeds to tell me that not even the Queen has a sterile vagina..............mm ok well thats good for her. I then asked about the histology as he hadnt mentioned it again well he said there is no spread to lymph nodes and showed me where it said no evidence of lymph node mets.................fantastic im thinking so l asked so all margins were good to well yes he said except for one margin which is showing VIN3 which we will leave for now and just keep an eye on, ok l say and then leave with my new appointment in 2 weeks.
So why am l not happy ..................well l am that lymph nodes are clear but the other the VIN3 since l have got home l seem to have a million questions like how when why just leave it for how long wont that increase my risk of having to go through all this shit again????? l dont understand why go through all this and then say but we will just leave that and wait...................wait for what??? to see if it gets worse?? changes to cancer again??? l dont know it just seems crazy to me !!!!!
