Mum

Less than one minute read time.

The last 2 weeks have been tough for Mum and for me. I don.t know what to do ,mum is still fighting but is becoming forgetful and more unsteady. Her moods have been up and down within minutes of each other . I have had to be shouted at and taken it on the chin . this week we are back at the hospital for a check up . I am not sure what will happen but am preparing for the worst no further treatment, I wish I could help more but she gets angry as she wants to do things for herself but just cant

    Dear Debs

so sorry to hear about the terrible time you and mum have been having especially over the past two weeks.

As you say you are preparing yourself for the 'worst'. So write down over the next day or so all the questions you have regarding your mums care if there is no further treatment. After reading a couple of posts on here lately and also through my own experiences its better to be forearmed so that you are not waiting for help for weeks on end.

But Debs fingers crossed and everything else crossed perhaps there may be some other treatment that will help your mum, we live in hope.

Best of luck, take care of yourself too,

    Be strong

    Hi Debs

Watching someone you love struggling is at best heartbreaking, at worst soul destroying.  Our Gordy was the same right up to the end and I know how hard it is to step back and let her try to do things for herself.

I hope that more treatment is available for your Mam and will keep everything crossed for you.

    Much love,

    Nin xxx
