September 10th (pt 2)

1 minute read time.

Mo had a bad day today even though she slept all night from 9.30pm-6.30pm without getting up she woke up with pain in her head, belly and legs, bless! She had her meds this morning,9 tablets all told same as every morning after a piece of toast, not a lot for brkfast. After her meds she usually has a rest for an hour or two then I help her get washed & dressed. Today though she spent the rest of the day until 2-2.30ish in bed which is unusual for her. The only reason she got up was because her son Paul was coming to see her. Mo even got tired waiting for him to show and laid on the sofa. When paul did get here Mo found it hard to interact with him and they both got upset, its just so hard for him to see his Mum as she is. Its different for me because I see Mo all day and know she has 'good days' and 'bad days' Paul only sees her as she is when he comes and not later or earlier, which is both a blessing & a curse.Bloody cancer!! Mo eventually went back to bed and Paul stayed and watched Tron Legacy very slightly more relaxed plus I needed to go to  Morrisons for some bits and he sat for me. My trip to the supermarket was another story explain later. After I had got back from supermarket Mo got up again as our 'brilliant neighbours' Brian & Sue who is also recovering from surgery on her hand, had ordered some chinese for us all. Its quite funny because Sues husband,Brian is looking after Sue as her arm is all strapped up & shes under docs orders to rest it. Brian is having to do all the housework, hes so far out of his comfort zone lol. I digress,Mo got up to eat her chinese, still got an appetite,no change there and she was able to interact a little better with Paul which was good.

    Hi bjay66

You are doing a wonderful job for your Mo and your love for her shines through your words.  I know exactly what you're going through, having cared for my John who sadly passed away on 22nd August.

I know all about the tablets and the tiredness and pain and how much pain you yourself are feeling watching her suffer.  You will never regret caring for your beloved and making the most of the good times.

Take care of yourself too - you are a very important person in Mo's life.

    Love and big hugs, Madge x x x x x
