1 minute read time.

Doctor Morrell came round today to explain to me about the Just-in-case (JIC) medicine box and see Mo as he has to see her so there are no complications with the death certificate.Don't want to go there, but now it is something everyone who knows Mo and I must face.I was quite glad it was Dr Morrell and not Dr Munro who came up,Mo doesn't like Dr Munro luckily she was on holiday. This is the same doctor who Mo saw first after her diagnosis and mentioned to me about the D.N.R rule and made Mo sign a piece of paper that I drafted at that moment authorising me to make future medical decisions and other decisions regarding Mo and her cancer.I know its her job and needs to be done but her timing sucked!. Dr Morrell told me the JIC medicine box contains medicines like Diamorphine Hydrochloride and Medazalam which are very effective for treating pain and sickness which are given to Mo via a syringe-driver.As I am unable to give Mo her medication orally now as she has difficulty swallowing a syringe-driver is the better alternative to give her medication and can be accessed day or night by any medical specialists.
To make things a little more easier for Mo and myself I had a commode on order and it was due to be delivered today.I waited in all day as the only time they gave me was 'between 8am and 4pm'even though I don't have a respite carer on Wednesdays its still a long time to wait.Anyway 4pm came and went so I rang the Hospice @ Home phone number and ask them if there was a problem. They said to me that I had cancelled it (news to me!) because acccording to their information Mo was unconscious? and no longer needed it, I told them that Mo was far from unconscious as calmly as possible (difficult!) and still wanted it asap. They did apologise for the breakdown in communication and would resolve the matter. The comode eventually turned up later than I had expected but at least it had been delivered.
