The above blog contains posts with a couple of poems, I wrote on a blog while I was going through diagnosis and surgery for breast cancer.
Today I am waiting for an appointment with the oncologist next week to make sure that the cancer hasn't returned. I had a scan of my thyroid and blood tests last week - not related to the cancer. It was for nodules but no one has explained what the significance is of the scan and blood tests is and no one has given me the results yet. I hate this liminal space of waiting and guessing. I know the answer is to live in the moment.
As I write this workmen are fixing the terrace outside my window. Life goes on for everyone else even though a hippopotamus has destroyed your life.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
