Get out the bunting … he's coming home!!! - Day 5 A.S.

Less than one minute read time.
Yay!!!!! In an unbelievable twist A is now doing so very well that the doctors are letting him home! He has walked round the ward, eaten several regular meals, farted and passed the required amount of other substances from his person. It's fantastic! I can't wait and am in cushion plumping mode in anticipation. I am sure that it will end up being 9 o'clock tonight before they finally release him as it always takes ages after rounds and sorting out medicines etc to get something moving but the recovery especially over the last several days has been amazing. We now feel that our ultra healthy diet and his swimming and walking and getting extra fit has paid off extra as A was aiming for the magic 8 days from surgery til home day - and now he has managed it in 6. Wow! I am sure he will be exhausted by the time we get home but I really don't care. It will just be nice to have him back in my arms. ;-) T x

Thats Fab, Just make sure he doesn't overdo it. oh what am I saying of course you'll make sure so the flip side to that is don't do all the running around after him.  When loggy came home I gave him a little crystal bell to ring if I was upstairs or in the kitchen as he couldn't shout me, Ifussed that much that everytime I went out of sight he would ring it, I would come running then he'd smile and say something stupid.  After a day or two he was on the verge of being readmitted to hospital to have said bell removed from where the sun doesn't shine.  I got the message that I was fussing too much though.

Hope everything goes well today, love to Andrew
