Dads leg is sore all the time and swollen, he has a physio appointment at the hospice tomorrow, from what I have heard from some of my nurses they say they will strap his leg for the swelling build up which is caused by the blocked lymph node.
His district nurse got in contact yesterday, she has just taken over his case. It still gets me when someone says how frail my dad is as its a word I never thought I would use but that describes him to a tee just now. So I now have both the district nurse and dads wonderful MacMillan nurse keeping me in the loop as I cannot be there for all the appointments, I think it is also good as I can tell them things that I think should be told. Because me and dads MacMillan nurse have figured out that he perks up for nurses coming in so they think he is ok but when they go he is back to his sleepy sore self again. The nurse has told him he can get the GP to visit him at home instead of him going to the surgery. I told mum today to tell him to use that offer now, its the least they can do and it will save him going out in the cold now the temparature is dipping as he is always freezing with there being no body fat on him now. He just stonewalls us with this idea. I know he doesnt want to think about going down hill nobody does but its going to happen whether we want it to or not. So that is my next mission is to get him to agree to the GP visits.
