Mum came over today so we could discuss dads funeral, we know its for the best to be prepared but my god it suck discussing it while he is still here. We are really finding it tough to deal with.

I know what you are going through,my husband passed away in April,2 weeks before he passed away we arranged his funeral,he picked the songs he wanted played before and after,the service and prayers,we choise the coffin and casket,and I am glad we did this together,so I knew everything was what he wanted.And I am doing the same so my Son and Daughter do not have to worry about what I want/or would have liked,its all taken care of.I know that I would have found things very hard and difficult if I had to sort all that out after he died because you are so sad/stressed with losing someone you can not focus on what needs to be done with a clear head.I think you and your Mum are very wise and very caring.Hope things are ok. Thanks Sue, I guess we dont realise how much its going hurt when he dies, we know its better to be prepared, dad doesnt want to have anything to do with his funeral so it is up to us, he just tells us he wont be there so it doesnt matter to be honest I dont think he realises that it will happen soon, whether thats good or bad I dont know.
