The Great S*****r Search

1 minute read time.

Out of respect for Andrew's phobia of the s*****r word I will try and tell the tale as painlessly as possible. I looked at many different types of bedroom footwear, most of them reminded me of what my grandma used to wear, I was starting to get slightly panicky when low and behold my eyes fell on the pinkest pair of soft half Ugg boots I have ever seen. I ummed and rred for several seconds then  grabbed them and rushed to the checkout's. To get to the checkout I had to take a detour past the fresh cream cake selection.........that decision took me longer than the boots but settled on fresh fruit scones.

Finally got back with my purchases and was caught red handed by the other half looking with raised eyebrow's at the pink softness sticking out of my bag. Thought you went to get s*****r's he said.  He just shook his head in despair and went to finish making dinner. Both my girls now have their eyes on mums pinkies which they have said are far too cool for me....lol

Laid out all my going away things in readiness for tomorrow then had a lovely shower and then served beautiful dinner, so all in all a good day and night and if I manage to get some sleep it will be a full house.

Take care all

hope you get that nights sleep Terri and good luck tomorrow will be thinking of you

  • Best of luck Terri. My sister bought me two M & S custard tarts the evening after my surgery. I was so hungry after 24 hours without food.

The hospital food was not that good but the nurses said they could get me a takeaway if I wanted!!!!!

Sure you will look lovely in pink Ugg boots.

Uh ohhhhh posh person alert LOL

I never wear anything on my feet at home, not even socks until it gets really cold, so like you when I went in for surgery I need some "casual comfies".  I was dismayed at what was on offer.........and how much they want you to pay for such ugliness.

I got a small pair of soft black mules with a tiny satin bow...£2 from Primarni (ha ha) as I thought I would never wear them after hospital.

Confession time - I LOVE THEM but so does Ollie, if I slip them off.....he grabs one and tears around the room with it......I am surprised he doesn't faint from the smell LMAO

Your half Pinkie Ugg's sound gorgeous though.

Also bought new silkie pyjama's cos my skimpy nighties wouldn't do for in hospital, especially as the HDU was mixed male and female.....however, silk pyjama's in hospital are FAR TOO HOT.  Glad I had kept a short sleeved, long trouser pair of blue striped cotton ones from years back (nice Next pair) cos I would have melted otherwise.

Thinking of you today Terri......see you in a few days hopefully.
