Less than one minute read time.

Well had to wait nearly 1 hour over stated appointment time, do they not realise just how stressful it is, if I had been attached to a ecg machine Im sure they would have had me in intensive care. Finally the sicky feeling has gone I now know what the results are. Hope this makes sense to some of you cos it made my head spin a bit....grade 2 cancer but nodes showing clear, consultant fantastic explained that it would have to be removed plus a node clearance followed by radiotherapy. The next thing he said was when he would do it to which I replied I'm free all week. He got on his phone and I am booked in for lumpectomy this Wednesday at 2pm, says I have to stay in for a few days due to the node clearance but Im sure I can be home by Friday if I play my cards right. Going into work tomorrow just to tidy everything up and then off for op. I have now decided that for me the not knowing was definitely worse that what I was told.

Hope you are all having a good day.

love Terri xxx

Hi Terri, best of luck for Wednesday.  Like Maralyn, I was allowed home with my drains intact, although I had to return daily to have them checked.

Now you know what you are facing you can set about fighting it.

    Best wishes, Christine xx

    Hi Terri

Wow talk about fast work, glad you have a date for your op, but as the others have said at least you know what you are dealing with.

I was in overnight with my mastectomy and in and out the same day with my lymph nodes - each time with a drain.

Will be thinking of you Wed.

    Love and Hugs

Hi, glad you now have your results and know what you are dealing with. My appointment was 2 hours late, but dealt with it ok as meant that consultant giving everyone as much time as they needed. I agree it is really nerve wracking.

Good luck for wednesday. I have my first oncology appointment that day and will hopefully get a date to start chemo.

Take care. Love and hugs. Debbie. xx
