Day after confirmed diagnosis

1 minute read time.

6th June 2013

Today was a strange day. I went to visit Mum at Dawns like I do everyday and found this woman who was normally kind and gentle being an absolute cow barking orders ant my sister and I and our husbands, giving dirty looks and generally being pushy. I know what she is facing is beyond my comprehension and the fact no ones allowed to talk about it doesnt help. My sister and I have to go out of the room to discuss anything and even if its not Mum related we get oh been talking about me again !!!. My sister and i are banned from contacting anyone for support as mum doesnt want anything to do with them so now and then we need to talk to each other so we can support each other and try to cope with things. It seems nothing we do is right and to be honest its very hard to put up with. I know Mum has the cancer but we are also effected by it and are going to be the ones who have to deal with the decline and face our lives without a mum or a dad. Then we feel guilty for saying things like that.
