Alright I have got it now the bigger the Mole the less chance you will survive. But I still cant see what benefit showing photos of Holes on any part of your Body gives anybody confidence to beat this type of Cancer. But point taken if you think it will help who am I to argue.

Take care and be safe Big Hugs LoveSarsfield.xxx

    Gosh Tabitha,

can't say anything except keep it up, better out than in eh?

Hi Sarsfield - it's how deep the melanoma is that counts. The more it gets into subcutaneous tissue the more danger that the cancer gets into your lymphatic system. People post pictures because with wounds like this seeing that your case isn't   abnormal is very reassuring. Also seeing how slowly things can improve, and go on improving.

    Take care,

its also a big wake up call not to ignore any changes in moles we have (speaking as  a moley person, in fact my whole family are)......surely I can't be that unlucky!

Good luck people and Marsha, you keep on your soapbox my friend, educate....educate and then.....educate its the only way.  I bang on about brain tumours at the drop of a hat.....who else better to than someone who has been there or will always have one!

Tabitha, Im extremely grateful to see your pic, i am a week on from my surgery on my ankle, I saw it friday for the first time and i am still struggling to accept how it looks and that its part of me now. Its nice to see a similar wound and i can now invisage how mine will look when the bloody look has gone. I would rather see pics that can prepare me for the future as the unknown is very scary. your very brave x x
