oh that looks familiar! thats thigh... where did they take the skin for the graft from? how biig diameter iamd depth is it now compared to days after surgery and how big was the original mole? you dont seem to have much over granulation!
Its actually on the back of my right calf with the skin taken from the back of my left thigh! Diameter is 9cm by 4cm deep which has remained more or less the same throughout. The original mole was about 1cm diameter - melanoma thickness was 2.8mm. Not too much overgranulation just a few spots here and there. Been using hydrocortisone for a week which the surgeon said was how long I had to use it for but it doesnt seem to have done anything!
Thanks Marsha - looks bad but havent had too much trouble with it my donor site is the worst that runs from the top of my leg to the back of my knee - really tender still!
well we are pretty much the same then.. i have to admit though mine was originally around 9-10 cm round by 4 deep but is not a lot less as the walls bevel out and new skin etc grows up and in..members who have views my blog from day one agree that the wound looks totally different now. also my doner site has never given me any pain. my original mole was like yours about 1cm
did you have sentinal node biopsy too? my MM thickeness was classed as over 4mm but thats all they could tell me.
its looking good but i am still suprised if you say its looking the same as when you had the operation!
