Tomorrow is the day I can have the first shower (with both legs in) for as long as I can remember - haha I cant wait! If all this has taught me nothing else but how to appreciate the little things in life - I am sooooooooo excited. Let me take you through my shower journey........
Melanoma removed in docs surgery 08.02.10 and so began the 1 legged shower with affected leg balanced on the radiator (picture the scene - no on second thoughts dont!)
15.04.10 WLE and Split skin graft and so the sink washes commence and the dream of a lovely hot shower a distant memory........
But tomorrow that dream becomes my reality - how sad am I??
Have had a showerproof dressing put on my leg but can only shower on the day of the district nurse visiting and that has changed now to Mon, Wed and Fri so had to wait over the weekend for tomorrow to arrive - nearly there folks......
Will let you all know how i get on cos I bet you will all be hanging on to the edge of your seats waiting to find out (me being sarcastic!).....
