Any ideas?

Hi

I am having trouble today with an extremely swollen ankle!  Any ideas?  I am 15 weeks post surgery on the said leg which has only just healed - could there be a connection?

Hope you are all well today

    Hi Cathryn,

If I was you just to be on the safe side I would pay a visit to A&E. All the Best.

Take care and be safe Big Hugs Love Sarsfield.xxx

    Hi Cath,

It could be the dreaded lymphoedema, but I would get down to the GP o have it checked out, but if it's hot and sore too, then I would do as Sarsfield says and hot foot it (or hobble) down to A&E.

Hi Cath, have you been overdoing it?  If so, put your leg up, REST and take plenty of fluids.  I know its frustrating but I have lymphodema in my left arm and when it swells, like during this hot weather, the only way is to rest.  Also, take your temperature and keep an eye on the leg - is there any redness/heat?  If so, I agree with Marsha and Sarsfield.  Although, if you have a cancer nurse you can talk to in the morning it might be a good idea, failing that go see your GP.  Take care, rest lots, dont wear anything tight on your leg and get it raised girl!

    Hi

Thanks for the advice.  Not red or hot or particularly sore just feels a bit tight. Swollen on inside and outside of ankle!  Been resting with leg up this evening and plan to contact GP after work tomorrow - thanks guys...
