Hello Sweetnutt.  I have just joined this site having recently been diagnosed with the same cancer you have.  Your are a bit ahead of me as I have had only a preliminary op to remove a lesion which subsequently showed that the cancer has spread into surrounding tissue.  I am due to go into hospital again on the 23rd for a further excision and removal of lymph nodes.  I'm sure it's going to be a long, painful recovery and not a fun way to spend the summer!  I understand your feelings of bewilderment and confusion--I'm already feeling that way and I've only just begun!  I would appreciate any advice you can give me and hope you will feel free to share your worries with me too.

Hello there, i,m sorry I havnt got back to you sooner, Ive just picked up your reply. You will have been for your op and I hope like me you found it not too bad, have you had the dreaded urine infection yet? I am doing very well now after getting severe cellulitis around the wound so have had 5 lots of antibiotics. I think what has helped me more than anything is my attitude, I refused to beleive this could happen to me, and sure enough I got the all clear. I,,ve not been for my follow up yet so still dont know if any follow up treatment , so if I have any advice for you it is to keep as positive as you can, it really does help. Please keep in touch and let me know how you get on
