Please bear with me people - - this "Blog" thing is totally alien to me, but I have been writing a "Diary" of my experience with Chemotherapy, and sending it to everybody I know on the Internet. I thought I might also share it with Macmillan.
My intention - - to spread the word that Cancer and Chemo are not to be taken lightly, and talking about it is better than keeping quiet about it.
I had been sailing in the Merchant Navy for over 40 years, and knew absolutely NOTHING about Prostate Cancer, and didn't even know what a Prostate was. It was an item on ITV that made me aware of it, and the rest is history, as they say. Thanks to ITV - - I have survived to tell about it.
The Cancer had broken through the surface of the Prostate, and was only a hop-skip-and a jump from the spine, so immediate action was taken by the Berkshire Cancer Centre. Otherwise - - I would have been dead several years ago, and another statistic.
I'm hoping to be able to Copy & Paste my Diary into this Blog. (I've had several positive comments about it).
I'll leave it for the moment, and see if I get any reaction to what I have said so far. See ya
