Hi there, does anyone know about this rare form of cancer, my bf has just diagnosed with it, he's had the chemo etc and surgery due soon, apparently the risk of survival is 2 out of 10 ;(

I had surgery in September last year.  I was told there was a risk of mortality during the operation and my husband twice got into a panic and dragged my son [himself a gp] up to the theatre to check that I was still alive.  I lost my voice last Sunday which is how it all began 5 years ago.

I am awaiting results of a biopsy on a strange rash which has appeared on my back which the dermatologists cannot identify.

I got over the operation quicker than I expected but did feel very tired at times.  I had 20 doses of radiotherapy after the op.

I am 62 and lost my elder son in 1993 following his being cured at the Christie Hospital, Manchester with a brain tumour.  He was knocked down by a car.

I wish you and your boyfriend lots of luck and a speedy recovery.

    Regards,

    Sue from Manchester
