What a busy weekend!

1 minute read time.

Firstly I want to say that I genuinly felt for anybody without their mum yesterday and know how lucky I am to have mine still around.

We made a big fuss for mum yesterday and had a Mothers Day tea at my sisters house, with all three of us girls and our families. I spent my Mothers Day cooking up a storm to take as my contribution but it didn't matter as yesterday was not about me I have a lifetime of Mothers Days ahead. Mum held up well managed a small glass of wine and a few nibbles. But by 7 was barely awake. We took some pictures and built some wonderful memories, she was spoilt rotten which was the idea.

Saturday was a completely different kettle of fish as I had to attend an interview day for a job I have applied for. First was a dreaded test which we had to achieve an 80% pass mark for to progress to interview. Whilst they marked the papers we were shown round the hospital, it is not a trust I know but I am very impressed with their vision and enthusiasm for improvement. Thankfully I achieved 95% in my test otherwise it would have a bit of a 'take a look at what you could have won' Bullseye moment. I interviewed for a years preceptorship in ED, ITU and MAU a fantastic opportunity if it comes off. However have found I haven't even got shortlisted for a position in ED more locally so ahve had my confidence knocked a bit!

Mum has the Community Nurses coming this morning to do an assessment and to get her in the loop so to speak. My hubby as always has been amazingly supportive of all I do and all that I have to do for mum and he and the girls did get me some lovely gifts yesterday, I have to count my blessings and all in all I am a very lucky lady.
