....so we managed to get to see mum on Friday and she was looking pretty good. Insisted on cooking us all dinner and we had a good time. I filled her in on what is happening with uni and as I hugged her goodbye she tried to tell me that the uni work is my priority, at which point fighting back the tears I reminded her that no she is my priority and always will be! Had a very frank discussion with my 11 yr old before we went over, she is the oldest of the grandchildren and picks up on so much more than the others. Was very hard but I am not going to lie to her but did concentrate on how things are at present and did not focus on what is to come.
Busy weekend for mum as she had friends visit Saturday too and is now paying the price, she is feeling unwell again and is spending a lot of time in bed. We were told to expect the progression to include the start of more bad days than good and it seems to be going that way. Mum's Mac nurse has phoned the hospital on her behalf and we are waiting for a scan/appointment. Hopefully it is just as simple as going back in for another stent, who knows until she has been seen. Just as well we did go to mum's as the lurgy has hit the family again so don't know if we will make it this week.
So here I am stuck at home with sick child when I should be in lectures, waiting for mum's Mac nurse to call me back to discuss the situation at the moment............wish me luck!
