....... Mum sees Mr Gastro man today we have had had our ups and downs! Down's including when she was an emergency admission after her first biliary stent was put in and she was bleeding as it was too big. It was Friday and he told her after he had re-done it how 'lucky' she was he was able to take her theatre so she didn't have to wait till Tuesday, LUCKY, she had just spent 4 hrs in ED and had 2 litres of blood and copious amounts of fluid GRRRR! However when she had to go back last September as the stent had blocked he was lovely! He has a very dry sense of humour I think which can be easily missed as a patient or relative when in distress! Mum likes him he is honest with her and straightforward, he is willing to still help her with other procedures when she feels everyone else 'has written her off'. I am in a little doubt though this time that it is the the time to stent the duodenum, her symptoms seem to be too low in her abdomen but we will see.
So come on Mr Gastro man I am once again at home with poorly older child (pleurisy this time, poor thing!) so can't go with mum and dad, continue to restore my faith in you, be open and honest and please if you can't help be open and honest.
