Steriotactic radio therapy treatment on brain tumour

Less than one minute read time.
I am a mum of 3 and not sure what to expect this time. We have been here before when I had brain surgery to remove the tumour, however it has began a momentum of its own and this is the next option. We actually had believed it was all over with 3 years ago. I understand I will expect to feel somnolence -tiredness. And nausea, hair loss is also mentioned. I have done a fair bit of research and feel I need to hear how real people have found this treatment. My major worry is that some of the radiation will leak onto my pituitary gland (unavoidable I'm told). I work full time and have just started a new job working nights. Can anyone shed any light on how it made you feel. I've been told the usual re probable, possible, likely symptoms. Just wanted to hear from real people with real life experience of this . I need some guidance to help me plan my next 6 weeks and beyond, if that is possible. Thank you x Shelley

Hello Shelley.   I'm sorry that you are having to go through further treatment for a brain tumour and I understand how distressing this must be for you. As I had a different cancer ( mouth ) I'm unable to advise on what the effects of the radiotherapy can be ... my RT was aimed at my mouth / neck areas. However there is a group on this site for people who have had experience of Brain Cancer and can offer help and support, so you may like to join and post there ... I'll add a clickable link for you. Take care and all best wishes.
