Anyone ever experienced this as a chemo side effect?

    Hi Leonard,

My dad had BEP chemo, he didn't have sores as such but he did say his fingers were sore and his fingertips swelled   and he also said they were quite numb. Nurses just said that it was an unfortunate side effect, but i would still check with yours if they are really sore. Hope you are ok?

Hi pinkvicki, I had FEC chemo and I suffered from really bad pins and needles in my chemo arm and hand which did swell qite alot, even after the chemo.  I found using a stress ball helped, quite painful to do at times but it did seem to ease the numbness.

Hope your Dad feels better soon x

Ihad very sore hands and feet. The sores seemed to form under the skin and then pop out. My feet were the worst as you don't walk on your hands. Keeping them moisturised (feet as well) helped a lot

what kind of sores do you mean?  My hands became very dry and sore and cracked a bit.  Putting on baby oil then cotton gloves over night helped a bit.  Don't pick at sores, not only do they take FOREVER to heal but they seem to scar easier during chemo too.  Hope you're ok other than that.  Probably best to have a word with your nurse though.lx
