I haven't blogged for a while or replied to anybody else's blog as I got sick of the back biting and nastiness that seemed to appear. However I do miss my cyber friends and after receiving a few personal messages, enquiring if everything was ok I thought i'd do an update.
Following on from our first family holiday in over 12 years, we had a family Christmas at the Tin Villa, it was really nice and made even more so by the fact that Luke made dinner with Ross doing the Yorkies. I did have to wash up though. The New Year saw Laurence full of cold and a few times he had trouble getting his breath, which was really scary. The nebuliser was brought back into play but for only a day or so.
January 11th and it was back for Laurence's 3 monthly oncology appointment. Laurence is having no symptoms from the liver & lung tumours at present, so he doesn't want chemo while he feels so well, especially as its considered very unlikely to work on his tumour type. So after some discussion and checking the last lot of blood tests (liver function B12 levels etc) which are really good considering all things, we managed to get the appointment moved to 6 monthly, with the understanding that we would get intouch if he starts having any symptoms. Oh and that I can ring his secretary for our holiday letters and he will put it in his records for the holiday insurance.
I have changed my work day to a 4 day a week so we can spend more time together. We are also busy booking & working through things we always said we'd do but never have, like go to London for a weekend to see a show, 5th March train to London to see Wicked then on the Saturday going to the Natural History Museum. 27th June going to Scotland for the week as we want to go to Edinburgh.
Going to Reading at the backend of Feb to see our son Brett as he lives & works there.
Hoping to try fit in a few days in Rome as I have been but Laurence hasn't and I so want him to see it as I think its a super place. Then of course its back to good old Tenerife in April for our fix of the sun. I'm also going to Silverstone again this year but Laurence is not a fan so is going to the Tin Villa with one of our son's. And of course The Tin Villa reopens again in March.
So you can see that we are being very busy people at the moment, trying to cram as much into life as we can while Laurence is able.
So to all my cyber friends I wish you Love Life & plenty of Laughter. Please feel free to message or email me anytime you like and remember I'll be watching you
