Any advice or similar situations

Less than one minute read time.
My mum, aged 65, was diagnosed with stomach cancer this summer 2008. She was advised to have chemo followed by an operation to remove part or all of her stomach followed by more chemo. She is now post operation and has had her whole stomach removed. She has been great and positive throughout the treatment so far. Now - she has had one round of post op chemo but was really suffering. She had to stop the chemo tablets after 1 week. She is very slight and much more so since the operation. She is faced with the dilema of whether to try to continue treatment or to stop now. The operation was very successful but she really wanted to give the whole treatment programme of 'chemo - operation - chemo' her best shot as the research shows this to have a greater success. Now she feels she will not withstand anymore chemo, due to her slight frame and inability to drink the required amount of water, plus still trying to eat well, she feels she should now concentrate and focus on getting her strength back. - Any similar stories out there?
