No more high impact sports

Less than one minute read time.
I had some good news and some bad news from the hospital today. The lovely professor said that I am back in remission and to go and enjoy the summer. The bad news is that I am not permitted to do high impact sports, rugby, boxing that kind of thing. As you can imagine that was a bit of a blow, I was so looking forward to taking up a new sport but I am only permitted a bit of gentle shopping. I mentioned that I was having some physio on my arm/shoulder tomorrow as there was some nerve damage from the last op. He asked if he'd done the mastectomy and when I said yes he said then I don't have any nerve damage. Obviously I'm just imagining the pain . . . . . . So its the rest of the week off and back to work Monday. love and gentle hugs Sharry x

    Hi Sherry,

First of all I have to congradulate you, now the big question,.....sport?  Boxing and rugby?!  You're having a laugh right?!    Well as us ladies know the best 'sport' is of course shopping!  Enjoy your new hobby!

Yipee - so pleased for you Sharry - you must be pleased - now you can continue your plans for the Banstead Booze up !! Of course I have to agree shopping is a sport and we should campaign to get it submitted into the Olympics :o) Hope you are feeling back to normal soon and that pesky pain gets sorted- caan't believe the ignorance of some surgeons (actually I can - used to be a Theatre Nurse) -he seems very arrogant ! Sending all my love and extremely gentle hugs Jools xxxx

    Sharry,

So glad about the good news!!  Lets examine the bad news.....no high impact sports.....mmmm....that's just more good news isn't it?  Hooorah!!

I had a ropey week last week then got the opportunity to go up in a glider during some R and R.....and ended up looping the loop......an interesting sensation...screaming obligatory....but nothing like the buzz of a good shopping hit!!

    Lots of love

So sorry that your exercise regime is limited to light shopping.   However, please remember that it's important that such activity needs to be regular - preferably daily!     Only then will you feel the full benefit.   So, you'd better start planning those shopping trips.

    GREAT news about your remission.

Wonderful news Sharry - so glad to hear you're back in remission.

Only one worry - when you do all this shopping, will you be able to carry the bags?

    Lots of love
